Angela Courtney has a rich experience and a unique vision, which she brings to social enterprises and other organisations. Alpha Studio, established in 2003, provides practical services, including mentoring, consulting, team development and training.

The development of skills promoting the growth of mind, body and spirit, are a unique contribution by Alpha Studio to organisational change management.

Angela has more than thirty-years experience developing organisations, project management, training, campaigning, and representation to government. Angela’s expertise includes policy development and interagency work within the women’s movement and the wider NGO (voluntary) sector.

During a decade of growing her business; Alpha Studio, she has created an innovative business development model known as PORT: Personal and Organisational Resilience and Transformation. This addresses the well-being of people within organisations as well as development of managerial skills and accountibility that recognises the centrality of people to the change process in a changing environment.

When organisational culture presents problems PORT facilitates and encourages development.

Serving as UK expert advising the European Observatory on Violence against Women; a project of European Women’s Lobby (from 1997-2004), Angela has a wide knowledge of international networking. Through facilitation and presentation of Alpha Studio workshops she continues a career that includes training, locally, nationally and internationally.

What we offer

Training for Trainers in PORT is now our priority. This will enable the method to benefit many more groups. Please get in touch if you are interested in the training the trainers course.

Publications

Angela has published articles throughout her long career, Fear, Panic and Prosperity Consciousness; Developing Resilience as the Paradigm Shifts, a sociological article published in Development and Learning in Organisations 2009, and is currently writing a book with a working title Resilience Energy and Spirituality in Organisations.
